Oh what a week.....Is it over yet?
First off Erica got the job at jobst making orthopedic hosiery ok? Cool I took her to work at 5:30 am (yes I said that) and was back home by 7:25 to take out the dogs. Hottest day of the year happened yesterday with the truck overheating big time every time we take it out in hot tempetures(mom thinks its the water pump- the landlord is looking at it soon) My dad went to pick her up a 2:10 pm.
he was threatening to take the expressway but don't know if that happened or not. (did I happen to say that when the truck overheats it melts the transmission fluid and then we have to replace it? If not there it is) he gets there and checks the radiator all is good. They go from half way from my vender workplace to food lion (30 minutes) get food, then doesn't check the radiator! What!!! I had that thing on Tuesday and had to fill that radiator twice before I even headed towards home. Anyway they are 5-7 minutes from home when the engine shuts down it overheated. He used the water we have back there, filled it and then left....2-4 minutes later the transmission starts acting up and again 5 minutes from home (they were actually on Morrison rd) when she died again and couldn't get it started no water no transmission fluid.....Call Mickey(landlord) ....
"Hello?"
"Hi were stuck can you help?"
"I'm at the bridge putting pipe in for the county(his son got the contract to put it in)."
"were stuck on Morrison Rd."
"We'll be here for a few hours more, Can you wait?"
"What choice do we have?" She said they laughed here.
"Ok ,Bye"
She hangs up and calls mom tells her. In the meantime Steven tells his helper Lou, to get his truck and help dad and Erica cant miss them they are in the same ranger pick up as his(ours is blue, his is gray). Lou comes and tows them the 2 miles home where the truck sits waiting to get looked at.
Meanwhile Erica lost the job because we have no transportation to get her there and back. She said it was no big loss really too much standing and her back was in AGONY when she got home.
So there was my exciting day and hoping for a quieter one...
Oh yeah, we had severe thunderstorms in the area and they all passed us ! We got a sprinkle.....
