the weird life i live

Part 2 of 2......

Well called the Vet at 10am and was told that her (muffin) liver, kidneys and blood sugars were all normal....I joked with the doctor that was great who needed to take care of both a diabetic mom and dog...

But her thyroid is low and so is her red blood cells...Out of 30-60 range on rbc's for a dog her age and weight, she is 18...Not a good thing.... He's doing another test on the rbc's to find out why they are so low..... And another thyroid test but that is a two day test.....So now were are back at square 1 not knowing what is wrong with her.....He wants to put her on pregnazone(a steroid) for her breathing which may or may not help her heart....He seems to think it will...Her white blood cells are high or really where they should be so she is not fighting an infection or no sign of cancer...The wbc's would be very high in either case....

So there you have it... I wont be on tonight to talk to you about it more but this is what the vet said to me....

Here's hoping I don't need my dad to make that decision after all

Well here is a 2 part blog.....

Part 1...... I took Muffin to the vet today and it is not vestitbure disease....As in Last blog. She has an irregular heartbeat as well as breathing, and is also anemic..... Now the question in why? She got a blood test(and didn't cry, but you know I did) and we are now awaiting the results...Which should be in the morning to afternoon... Then what to do will be decided then...I have my Dad acting as surrogate because if the DR. Says that there is nothing to be done for her I COULD not be the one to say put her to sleep....So he told me he would do it and I know if there is even the slightest chance he would save her....

So until tomorrow...

I thought I was losing her last night.
I am not kidding about this. She couldn't get up couldn't walk to me her head stated shaking to and fro and then sitting down next to her to reassure her(an d debate weather or not to go to the emergency vet) I noticed her eyes where jerking back and forth so hard her whole eye socket and eyebrow was moving in the rhythm of the jerking! I thought she had a stroke she is going to die on me tonight....

I got home( I am such a coward but I couldn't sit there and watch her die!) I looked into my medical book.. Now I know pets aren't human but I read somewhere that dogs can get the same diseases as people and vice versa, so I looked in the index-jerking eyes and came up with Meniere's Disease a disease of the inner ear, water builds up and causes pressure behind the eyes causing the jerking and lose of coordination's all the symptoms Muff was showing...I call the emergency vet and they said it was the same disease but it is called Vestibulare disease in dogs. She needs antibiotics and a steroid to correct the problem. When I said I couldn't bring her in they told me to put her in a dark room with water and food and leave her there because the light was playing tricks on her and she couldn't see where she was, in the dark it would be better for her. So I called mom and told her to change Hiedi and Tiger around and let muffin sleep alone and this morning she looked at me and looked a little better but the Damn vet wont take my check so she has to be like this for 4 days until Monday when I HOPE I get the check I was supposed to get yesterday....

My stress level was so high last night I fell asleep rereading Harry potter and it was over my face this morning at 3:50 when I woke up!(there is a cat that walks on the front porch, which one good night when Hiedi is home that'll stop she loves chasing things out of her yard!)

That was my night I hope everyone else's was less stressful.....

That's for Aunt Barb who is in the hospital with a Kidney stone! I know her pain...I've had three in my life the last on was a real bad one 10 mm, I had to have it lasered out of me... Thank god for insurance!

2 are done and I'm playing hookey tomorrow and turning them in. And giving blood too but the real reason I'm not working is I did something to my shoulder and it is killing me. Oh yeah and I cant take anything for the pain because it will interfere with giving blood....Sucks to be me!!!

Well we are moving ssslloowwwwly in...
And I mean slowly....

I was the first down on Friday to sleep alone in the trailer. Erica decided that on Saturday the day we promised to work on boards all day (we did do 3 hours anyway), she wanted to sleep down there too! So Dad and I used the broken pick up(The starter is gone but being a stick shift he pops the truck started.) got her bed and frame and some other stuff. Set it up and whammo we are now living downstairs..
We still have a stuff load of stuff in the storage unit but we are thinking to redo my room first and let all the boxes go in there until I get the new chair, (I sleep on a reclining chair) So that is the so called plan... Well see....

That it on the home front.... Nothing more to tell but I 'm going to be a very tired girl this week and next....

Did I mention That Chuck is having second thoughts? We're gonna talk him into it though I just hope it works dad is soooo depressed now....

Ok here is some news at last....

First the dog under the house is gone. She got picked up Monday in 15 minutes and she is now off to be adopted (the animal control guy said she came right to him with his can of dog food, so that shows she is still trainable.).

Second, we are starting to cleans moms new house this weekend after fixing the floors of the addition and other jobs. We are also trying to STILL move into our house but it has been VERY hot out and we have just been doing boards instead. Looks like we are going to move two loads and I and Natasha will be sleeping down there for a start.

Third, the job has been going great. Busy as ever and Tammy doesn't think it will end soon. She just lost a vender and isn't thinking of replacing her. We'll see....

UPDATE:

We have heard from Animal control and they are going to install a trap to catch her. We haven't seen the puppy so god only knows what happened to it. It took him this long to get ahold of us because he has been very busy all week with other calls. He knew right where we lived because those f***ers always called on other dogs in their yard (But leave yours behind right dipshit?). The trap will be there for 1 week(placed on Monday picked up on Friday) which means I cant move in until then...Fun huh?(oh the trap is a cage with a one way in type of door very humane, but how does the dog eat for a week and what about water? I dont see how 'humane' that is?)You know what is going to happen, we will have to pick up the cage and bring it to Animal control before Friday I can see it now. I cant wait to see if the Painters are coming to get the crap out of our yard. There is a boat and a dog house (that Pepsi and the chicken lived in) and a tiller and a bunch of other shit. Mickey told him (John) that he had better get that shit out of the yard or he was going to charge him 200$ to remove it. Period. He charged Dave who lived down the hill from us, money for us to haul the trash and clean when he was supposed to. Ugly. That is a whole nother story. I have to go and put ice on my knee, the stairs to the red shed busted under me and down I went, right on the knee I had surgery on. Not good. It is stinging at the moment and I feel a flexril and lortab on the way for later after the shower.

Holy cow its been a long time!

So much has been happening....
First I finally got paid for all those orders we did...Big buck... Over a grand but it is now all gone, in fact it only took 2 days to spend it all. Bills of course a few luxuries of course and the new trailer we can now almost move into.
We were hoping for a whole new door seeing the Painters never gave Mickey back the house keys(I aint leaving anything in there until we get a new door or new locks) Mickey asked dad to pick un and install new locks on the door(we really wanted a new door) and he was going to get us a new screen door and install it on Sunday. The house was still smelling bad every time we walked into no matter how much we cleaned it. Well we moved the stove the other day and low and behold at least 6 years of grease and dirt has been stuck there. It was worse than disgusting! They are still working on the stove, they also found a dead mouse which didn't help the situation.

Moving on, Billy left the dog that had puppies and 1 other puppy we believe behind, yes they abandoned the dogs instead of trying to find homes for them. They scared the poop out of Erica and I when we was them and now were waiting on animal control to take them...I am not allowed down there until they go because every time I see them I start crying uncontrollably. I hate people so much nowadays. Also Erica and mom are going to bleach the floors and I cant be anywhere near bleach my asthma starts in and sometimes the inhaler doesn't help. Did I mention we were getting mom's washer and dryer and we were doing sheets which she bleaches? Yeah welcome to my world.
