I'm back.

Did everyone miss me? I hope so, but here is something for you, I think I want to move back to Chicago! Now I know how Sue feels when she said she wanted to move back to New Jersey. Wow! I didn't realize HOW much I missed it.

The wedding was great. We begged and pleaded with Tony to think about getting married so quickly, but he said she is the one and that they'd been together for 2 years. OK. So they got married and everyone had a good time. I got to see my cousin Steve and Susan (who used to annoy the crap out of me but have gotten better), my aunt and uncle from Missouri, Justine (my aunt's friend from school) and her daughter Tara( who we grew up with well almost)who is getting married next year,in July(can anyone say next vacation time?) But this time we want to have more money with us and have more time with no restrictions on car time! Not that enterprise didn't give us a fabulous deal, They did and the Ford Taurus was VERY roomy, I was terrified that if someone hit us WE'D still have to pay out the 500 deductible even thought it wasn't our fault. Crazy. I have pictures to develop and then you can see.
My mom's and sisters outfits were absolutely beautiful.

Then as planned I drove to Sheila's house and hung out with her. She has a very cool looking house, with a big backyard to go with the big dog she has, Chance a Newfoundland/lab. BIG dog, but he looked just like muffin and It made me miss her more. We hung out and saw her sister and mom and Caroline who when we were younger used to take us out and get us drunk! It's ok to confess now, were older. Her kids were very good at first but as soon as they got to know me they showed their true colors! Miles, who's 4 swears worse than I do. And everyone thinks that it's cute. Mitchell, doesn't listen to Sheila at all. And then there's Christopher the football hero. Nuff said. It made me crazy. I stayed over till Monday (what was I thinking you ask, I didn't want to drive home in the dark really) but ended up leaving even before Kurt (her husband) woke up at 4 am.(So I ended up driving home at night anyway) The kids and Sheila had a huge blowout on Sunday night and really frazzle my nerves. Even typing about that weekend is making me shaky all over again.

Monday we were supposed to do something with mom's friends in Romeoville, but no one was home. Then Tuesday we went to see Justine in Indiana, What a spread! Her house is BEAUTIFUL! Right off Lake Shafer. It was gorgeous! That's were she confirmed Tara's wedding date and got our address for the invitation. We had lunch there and then went home. We thought we were going home on Wednesday, because Elk messed up our check yet again, only giving us 217$ instead of the 400$ we expected. Should have known. But we stayed until Thursday, actually drove home on Thursday. But on Wednesday e went and visited my Grandparents who are together in Evergreen Park cemetery alone with my uncle Edd, Great Grandma Cecelia and Great Grandpa Oscar. And yes I did take pictures of their graves too. Went out to eat at one of our favorite restaurant up there Les brothers and found out the restaurant bloomed. They have four locations now.

Thursday came and we went, and drove 300 miles out of our way and in a blinding thunderstorm too! Some weather system coming up from Florida and hit Kentucky Right as wee were driving through. We finally got home at 2 am after leaving at 10:30 am (9:30 am Chicago time). WE were exhausted. Even Erica got to drive the last hour home. It took all day Friday to recover from the drive and now were all settled.

That was my exciting week away. I'm ready to go back.
Now we go back to the hum drum life of boards, Thank goodness we have them to come back to!

Did I mention that on Monday I got to sleep in the car? I got home at 5am and didn't want to wake anyone up so I waited in the car until 8 am when my uncle saw the car but no body on the couch (that was were I was sleeping) I saw movement in the kitchen window and got up and went into the house.
What a week!

Let's do it again!!!!!
